A 60-year-old Hammond doctor will spend nearly four years in federal prison after getting involved in a kickback scheme that involved Medicare and Medicaid patients. Linda Rosenberg was sentenced on Friday.
Prosecutors alleged that she was accepting money from labs and other businesses for sending them patience for things like blood draws and body scans. She was also accused of illegally prescribing pain killers to at least one patient. The U.S. Attorney’s office also said Dr. Rosenberg was accused of misbranding medications.
