It’s been two months since Indiana State Police issued a report highly critical of the Gary Police Department. In the meantime, the homicide rate has continued to rise in Gary. We sit down with Gary Police Chief Wade Ingram.

Residents of the Southeast Side of Chicago are complaining about a powdery black dust coming from mounds of pet-coke. The by-product of distilling Canadian crude is expected to become even more prevalent as BP’s Whiting refinery expansion comes on line. We’ll talk to a southeast side environmental group and a law professor from Detroit.

Guests include:

Peggy Salazar, Southeast Environmental Task Force

Nick Schroeck, Wayne State University

Wade Ingram, Gary Police Chief
