(AP) — For fans of the Pittsburgh Penguins anticipation for tonight’s home game with Dallas must be high. You see the Stars are winless in their last six games in the Steel City. The Sidney Crosby-led Pens are unbeaten in two games this young season while the Stars are 1-1-1. The clubs split their two games last season.

A pair of unbeaten teams is meeting tonight in Nassau Coliseum as the Islanders entertain the San Jose Sharks. Each team enters this evening’s contest 3-0-0 and with a win the New Yorkers would have their third 4-0-0 start to a season in franchise history. The Sharks are used to fast starts as they won six in a row to start last season and seven straight the season before.

The New Jersey Devils are also 3-0 and tonight they are skating against the Capitals in Washington. A year ago the Devils won three of four games between the two.

Montreal starts the home portion of its schedule tonight with a game against the Bruins. Last season the Canadiens won three of the four games these two clubs played.

Ottawa is also opening its home schedule tonight with a game against the Avalanche. The Avs swept the season series last year

In the final two games of the night, the league champion Los Angeles Kings are home to St. Louis and Carolina is in New York to face the Rangers.
