Pence Expands School Voucher Program
The Indiana governor’s signature on a bill is expanding the state’s school choice program by law. Governor Mike Pence signed the measure that allows families of students who qualify to use a voucher to offset the cost of attending a school of their choice. Students with special needs, siblings of voucher recipients and students who receive a scholarship from a scholarship-granting organization now qualify.
Pence says all Hoosier students deserve an opportunity to be successful, which includes attending a school that works best for them.
