Pacers modify expectations after George’s injury
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana’s Paul George has tossed aside the crutches.
On Monday, he limped across the Bankers Life Fieldhouse floor, dressed in his new No. 13 jersey, ready to endure all those traditional media day photo shoots. His teammates are preparing for life with their two-time All-Star.
George is expected to miss the entire season with a broken right leg, and the Pacers three returning starters all acknowledged there will be adjustments.
Power forward David West acknowledged George’s injury may also force Indiana to change its expectations this season, too. Indiana opens the regular season Oct. 29 against Philadelphia.
