This special edition of “MIDWEST BEAT with Tom Lounges” features in-studio musical guest – KARL GREEN — a British singer/songwriter and musician best remembered as the original bass guitarist and backing singer for the 1960s British band HERMAN’S HERMITS.
Green co-wrote a number of songs for the band and played on many of Herman’s Hermits recordings; remaining an active member in Herman’s Hermits from its early 1960s creation until 1980, when he left to pursue a life outside of music.
This past year, Karl Green has began performing live concerts once again and he will be rocking a few dates right here in Northwest Indiana this month…
During this in-studio visit with Tom Lounges, Karl shares stories from the heyday of the British Invasion and perform some of your favorite Herman’s Hermits songs and performed several old Hermits tunes live and acoustic with accompaniment from guitarist Mike Bruccoleri, while also joined by tour manager Conor Mahoney.
