OKC gets Westbrook back
(AP) — The Oklahoma City Thunder will have point guard Russell Westbrook back in the lineup for tonight’s game against the New York Knicks.
The three-time All-Star hasn’t played since breaking a bone in his right hand against the Clippers in the second game of the season.
The Thunder come off a victory against Utah but are just 4-12 this season.
Meanwhile, the Knicks will play without Carmelo Anthony because of a back spasms.
The Thunder-Knicks game is one of 12 on tonight’s NBA slate. The schedule includes a showdown of two of the hottest teams in the league as Portland hosts Memphis.
The Trail Blazers take a nine-game winning streak into the battle of division leaders. That’s helped them build a 12-3 record, good for the top spot in the Northwest Division. The Grizzlies are tied for the best record in the league at 13-2, which puts them atop the Southwest Division. They’ve yet to lose a game in nine meetings with Western Conference rivals.
Toronto is the other 13-2 team in the league and the Atlantic Division leader take a six-game winning streak into its home game against Dallas.
