NWI Schools Reopening: Some Delays, Some Still Closed

Most Northwest Indiana schools are re-opening for classes today, after being closed three days due to the snowfall and cold.  Most will open “on time,” but three districts are delaying the start of of classes two hours:

— Gary Community Schools

— East Chicago city schools

— Tri-Creek Schools, Lowell area

A few area public school districts are calling off classes again today because of the weather:

— Charter School of the Dunes, Gary

— East Chicago Urban Enterprise Academy

— Michigan City Area Schools

— N. Newton School Corp.
