NWI Home Sales Report For November

December 23, 2014 — There were fewer single-family homes sold in northwest Indiana last month than were sold one year earlier, but the median selling price was higher.

The Greater Northwest Indiana Association of Realtors report shows that members sold 648 homes in Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Jasper and Newton Counties — 17 fewer homes than in November 2013 — but they sold for a median price of 5-thousand dollars more, at 135-thousand dollars.

The November report shows 366 homes were sold in Lake County for a median price of 137-thousand, 500 dollars — higher than one year ago.

There were 166 homes sold in Porter County for a median price of 159-thousand, 900 dollars — lower than in November 2013.
