November NWI Casino Revenues Fall

December 9, 2014 — November revenue at northwest Indiana’s five casinos delivered a mixed bag of results.

Three of the five casinos saw an overall increase in revenue compared to the month before, but only slight.  Hammond’s Horeshoe Casino had the largest overall drop — at $2.3-million less than October.  Blue Chip in Michigan City saw its revenue drop $1.7-million in November.  Gary’s two Majestic Star Casinos and East Chicago’s Ameristar boat all saw increased revenue of under $1-million per outlet.

Ameristar: $19.77 million, up 11.8 percent

Blue Chip: $11.71 million, down 6 percent

Horseshoe: $34.62 million, down 15 percent

Majestic Star I: $6.77 million, down 11.1 percent

Majestic Star II: $5.27 million, down 12.1 percent

Total: $78.17 million, down 7.3 percent
