NIRPC Illiana Expressway Public Meetings Start Saturday

November 1, 2013 — Northwest Indiana residents will get a chance to talk with Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission officials about the proposed Illiana Corridor, a joint project with the state of Illinois that would connect I-65 near Lowell with I-57 near Peotone and I-55 at Wilmington Illinois.

NIRPC is holding the 1st of 4 public meetings Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to noon.  The meeting will take place at the Indiana University Northwest in the John W. Anderson Library.  The library is located at 3400 Broadway in Gary.

The next public meetings will be held as follows:

November 5:  Lowell Middle School, 19250 Cline Ave.  Lowell.  6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

November 13:  NIRPC, 6100 Southport Rd.  Portage.  4 p.m to 6 p.m.

November 19:  Michigan City City Hall, 100 E. Michigan Blvd.  Michigan City.  2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
