New Indiana Workforce Development Chief Chosen

August 28, 2014 — Governor Mike Pence is making a leadership change at the Department of Workforce Development.   As Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Brandon Smith reports, he’s appointing a state lawmaker to head the agency

The Associated Press — Gov. Mike Pence picked a first-term state legislator to become Indiana’s new workforce development commissioner.

Scott Sanders is stepping down to become the senior deputy commissioner overseeing the unemployment insurance division.  Steve Braun of Zionsville will take his place.  He’ll resign his legislative seat after the November election and begin the new position on Nov. 24th.

Braun is a self-employed business consultant.
