Nets Beat Bulls 95-92…Game Seven On The Way
An injury and illness plagued Chicago Bulls squad made it close, but couldn’t get past the Brooklyn Nets in game six of their best-of-seven first round NBA playoff series, losing 95-92 Thursday night at Chicago’s United Center. Joakim Noah, battling plantar fasciitis that has slowed him throughout the series, gave another impressive performance, scoring 14 points, while also racking up 15 rebounds and five blocked shots in the losing effort. Nate Robinson, meanwhile scored 18 points in between bench time in which he struggled to keep a bad case of the flu at bay. Brooklyn was led by a trio of 17-point performances – from Joe Johnson, Brook Lopez and Deron Williams. Despite the hardships faced by the Bulls, the Nets’ lead was slim down the stretch, with the outcome contested right up to the final seconds of play. The series now heads back to Brooklyn for game seven on Saturday night.
