National Guardsman’s Recovery Hampered By Red Tape
There is a new survey out by the General Accounting Office that shows doctors are giving low marks to the military’s Tricare insurance. Many doctors just aren’t taking the insurance, which is especially a problem for Indiana National Guardsman who rely on the insurance to heal their injuries. Regionally Speaking Host Steve Walsh talked to the auditor who wrote the report along with Sgt. Doug Rachowicz of Munster – The only survivor of a blast that killed four fellow Guardsman back in January. He’s been waiting since September for the last of a long string of surgeries. The army finally gave up on Tricare. He called in from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in between doctors’ appointments.
