Nashville’s GRETCHEN PETERS  is an American singer/songwriter who has composed hits for a plethora of major recording artists, including Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Etta James, George Strait, Patty Loveless, Anne Murry, and Faith Hill, as well as Neil Diamond and co-written songs with Canadian rocker Bryan Adams.

Peters won the Country Music Association’s “1995 Song Of The Year” award for Martina McBride’s chart-topping hit single, “Independence Day.”  In addition, Peters has recorded and released seven of albums and performs concerts coast to coast.  Listeners of the original broadcast of this program had opportunities to call in and talk to Gretchen and to win tickets to see Gretchen Peters perform live on Sunday, September 8 at Chicago Street Theatre in Valparaiso, IN.
