Motorist Dies, Traffic Stopped By I-65 Lake County Crash
July 31, 2013 — LOWELL, Ind. (AP) — A semitrailer cab drove onto the top of a car in a crash on Interstate 65 in northwest Indiana that police say has killed one person.
State police say the northbound lanes of I-65 have been closed by the crash that happened Wednesday morning near the Indiana 2 interchange in southern Lake County.
Northbound traffic is being diverted from I-65 at the Indiana 10 exit near Roselawn.
Police say the crash involved two semitrailers and a car but didn’t immediately release information about the circumstances or the victim. ISP Sgt. Ann Wojas said one of the semis landed on top of the passenger car.
