A motorist from Chesterton died late Tuesday night along eastbound I-94, just east of the scales at the 29-mile marker in the Chesterton area. Indiana State Police said the victim was 62-year-old Sridhar R. The Lexus, after hitting the semi’s trailer, flipped and rolled multiple times, ejecting the driver out of the Lexus and came to rest on the inner shoulder. The Lexus continue to roll and flip and went over the concrete median barrier wall and it came to rest on the inner shoulder on the west bound side of I-94.

The semi was a 2000 Freightliner pulling a box trailer, owned by E L Hollingsworth & Company out of Flint, Michigan. The semi was loaded with 6,980 pounds of miscellaneous auto parts, no load was lost. The semi was driven by William P Lantis II, 42 of Stockbridge, Michigan. Lantis was not injured.

This was my father driving the truck. What the report does not mention is Willie was handcuffed questioned by state poleace. And after thy let him free he ran out of drive time so had to what 10hrs befor he could even drive home. What is not mintioned is the emotional torment any Truck Driver feels when thy servive any type of crash and others do not. What is not mintiond is the aftermath that nobody know goes on after a crash. I myself drive a truck. I donot at this time know if my father can drive Agen. thar is a tremindus amout of gref,he fills. So in a big part 2 families are at a loss. So please I ask. Be carfull out on the road. Thank you ST Demonta for that information. I couldn’t drive a truck an hour without being cross-eyed. You have my respect and admiration for your insight.
