Minott Leaving FSSA Leadership Post
June 17, 2014 — Debra Minott’s days as head of the Family and Social Services Administration are numbered as the Pence administration explores a change in leadership at the agency. Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Brandon Smith reports:
The governor’s office confirms that the administration has begun discussions with Minott about what it calls a “change in direction” at FSSA. A source says there is no timetable set and that the Pence team is working with Minott on a transition plan. In a statement, Governor Pence says he holds the FSSA chief in the highest regard and believes she has served Hoosiers with integrity and professionalism. Minott was named as FSSA Secretary in January 2013, one of the governor’s last appointments to a major state agency as he took office. The state is in the midst of seeking approval from the federal government for a broad healthcare expansion plan, which would be overseen by FSSA.
