A Michigan City woman’s life is forever impacted after brain injuries she received because of botched medical care.

The Kenneth J. Allen Law Group and Francis Morrissey represented 52-year old Kathryn Parker, who underwent gastric bypass surgery at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Illinois on February 1st, 2010.

Allen says Parker will have lifelong medical needs as a result of the doctors’ mistakes.  Parker will receive $14.4 million in damages. She says her life will never be what it was before the injury.

A federal jury in Chicago deliberated for three hours after a two week trial and found Drs. Jeffrey Rosen, Allen Mikhail and LifeWeighBariatrics guilty of negligence and made them liable for $9.4. million.

Advocate Good Samaritan settled earlier for $5 million.
