It all began with one man who built a roadside inn on the Illiana state line in 1838. Since then the Town of Dyer has evolved from a farm town surrounded by swampland to a celebrated suburb of Chicago. Lakeshore Public television presents a retrospective of the town’s evolution as it celebrates its 100 year anniversary.
