LaPorte County Search Underway For 82-Year-Old Man

The La Porte County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing 82-year-old man who has been diagnosed with dementia and has not been seen since approximately 5:45p.m. Thursday evening.
The man is identified as Robert Allen Kindig, who resides in the 5900 West block of Schultz Road in rural La Porte County.
Kindig left his home this evening to go to his weekly bowling league at Casey’s Lanes in La Porte and never arrived. At approximately 7:20 p.m., his family reported that they had learned that he never arrived at his destination. The La Porte County Sheriff’s Office was notified that he is missing and he is currently being entered into the Indiana Fusion and Intelligence Center as a missing and endangered adult.
He was last seen driving his tan 1997 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck bearing Indiana Truck plate TK945LVN. The truck is described as having a ball on the end of his radio antenna that looks like an orange tennis ball.
Robert “Bob” Kindig is 5’7” and 187 pounds, husky build with grey hair. He wears tortoise shell eye glasses and has blue eyes. He has no facial hair and has a neat appearance.
