August 27, 2014

We’ve seen the treasurer in Porter County retire and school districts around the state worry about a teacher shortage. We talk about a change in state law that may be driving some public employees into retirement.

We’ll also review what the 7th Circuit had to say about Indiana’s ban on Same Sex Marriage with an IU law professor.

A new economic development organization for Lake County has a well known leader. We’ll talk to Karen Laurerman.

We’ll also reach out to a doctor from northwest Indiana who has traveled the globe to find patients in need.

Guests include:

Karen Lauerman, Northwest Indiana Forum Director of Marketing and Communications and the in-coming CEO of The Lake County Economic Development Alliance

Margaret Ryznar, Associate Professor of Law, Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law

State Rep. David Niezgodski

Dr. Nick Retson, Crown Point
