Share Tweet Email

August 18, 2014 — Network Indiana — Jewel Osco says customer information may have been stolen after computers containing credit and debit card information from the company‘s stores in Indiana, Illinois and Iowa were hacked.

Jewel Osco‘s parent company, AB Acquisition, says the theft occurred sometime between June 22 and July 17 this year. The company says there is no evidence that any credit or debit card data were stolen, nor evidence that any data have been misused.

AB Acquisition says other store chains it owns elsewhere in the country, including supermarket chains Albertson‘s, ACME Markets, and Star Markets, were also affected by the data breach.
