IU Wins Big Ten Championship
Cody Zeller’s layup with 13 seconds to go lifted 2nd ranked Indiana University to a 72-71 win over the 7th ranked Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor on Sunday. The Hoosiers had already locked up at least a share of the conference title, but the victory gave the Hoosiers the first Big Ten title that is theirs alone in 20 years. The Hoosiers had to come from behind to get the win, with Zeller racking up 25 points and 10 rebounds overall in the game. The Hoosiers finished the regular season with 26 wins and 5 losses (14 – 4 in the Big Ten) and the win on Sunday gives them the top seed in the upcoming Big Ten Tournament in Chicago. All of Indiana’s Big Ten and NCAA Tournament games can be heard live on 89.1FM, The Lakeshore.
