IPFW hangs on for 65-61 win over Bradley
December 10, 2013 (AP) – Luis Jacobo’s 3-pointer with 27 seconds remaining, his only points of the game, lifted IPFW to a 65-61 win over Bradley on Tuesday night.
Bradley took a 61-60 lead on Auston Barnes’ basket with 41 seconds left, before IPFW took it back with Jacobo’s heroics. Bradley had one final attempt, but Walt Lemon Jr. missed his attempt and IPFW’s Steve Forbes grabbed the rebound, was fouled and made both of his free throws for the game’s final points.
Isaiah McCray led a balanced attack for IPFW (8-4) with 12 points. The Mastodons got 11 apiece from Michael Kibiloski, Forbes and Joe Edwards added 10.
Bradley (5-5) also had four players in double figures, led by Lemon with 14, Omari Grier 13, Ka’Darryl Bell 11 and Tyshon Pickett had 10. Grier and Lemon were a combined 11 of 34 from the field.
