Indy builds momentum before embarking on playoffs

December 23, 2013 (AP) – Suddenly, the Colts have figured things out.

They’re starting fast, forcing turnovers and winning games. The turnaround couldn’t come at a better time, either, because the AFC South champs are tuning up for the playoffs.

Two weeks ago, frustrated and concerned fans thought the Colts (10-5) were ready to make yet another early postseason exit. But after beating Houston 25-3 and playoff-bound Kansas City 23-7 on Sunday, Indy’s first back-to-back wins since Oct. 20 and Nov. 3, there’s new excitement and even players can sense the momentum building.

Indy has now beaten three of the six teams with four or fewer losses — Denver, Kansas City and Seattle — and the offense and defense have both reverted to their form from earlier this season.
