Indianapolis Zoo Announces Birth of Tiger Cub
July 29, 2014 — The Indianapolis Zoo is celebrating International Tiger Day with the announcement of a new addition to their tiger family. According to the zoo’s website, an Amur tiger cub was born at the facility on July 10. Zoo officials say this is the first cub for its mother, 6-year-old Andrea, and both she and the cub are in good health. The two are expected to remain in a private indoor area for several weeks.
The zoo plans to use Facebook to collect votes on a name for the cub.
