Indiana tries to move on from costly decision
November 4, 2013 (AP) – Indiana took turns accepting blame Monday.
There was plenty to go around two days after Minnesota snuffed out the Hoosiers’ final chance by recovering a red-zone lateral with 25 seconds left in the 42-39 loss.
Tight end Ted Bolser said the Hoosiers (3-5, 1-3 Big Ten) needed better execution.
Coach Kevin Wilson said it was just a poor play call.
Offensive coordinator Seth Littrell acknowledged he got “bluffed” by the Golden Gophers defense.
Whatever the explanation, the Hoosiers now face an uphill battle to become bowl-eligible. They need to win three of their last four games, which includes trips to Big Ten leader Ohio State and reigning Big Ten champion Wisconsin.
