Indiana Obesity Rate Ranks Among Nation’s Highest
August 20, 2013 — A new study finds that, while the obesity rate has been rising steadily, it has been leveling off since 2005. Researchers are crossing their fingers that it may have even leveled off this year. Indiana is still considered one of the fattest states in the nation. The Hoosier State is one of 23 states with an obesity rate of over 30-percent. And, with 41 states having an obesity rate of over 25-percent, it’s clearly not a problem that is going away.
