One of the more controversial aspects of the gun debate in Indiana is a bill by Rep. Jim Lucas, R-Seymour, who proposed requiring every public school in Indiana to designate a teachers, volunteer or school official to carry a gun in school. Lucas’ bill was assigned to a summer study committee later in the week. Before that, Lucas spoke with Regionally Speaking Host Steve Walsh about his bill and the larger gun debate.
