Indiana #10 on Tax Foundation List
October 10, 2013 — The Tax Foundation says Indiana is in its 2014 top ten list of states with the best business tax climate.
The Foundation collects data about tax policies at federal and state levels, suggesting that states with fewer taxes have better business climates.
It lists Indiana as number ten on the list with Wyoming at number one. It says the absence of a major tax helps most states climb the rankings.
Yet it says Indiana, which bumped Texas off the top ten list released this week, has all major tax types, but levies them with low rates on broad bases.
