Illiana Decision Will Come Down To Final Vote

Tuesday morning the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Committee’s Transportation policy committee voted 18 to 8 to approve the Illiana Expressway. That sets up a showdown for the potential $1.3 billion project, before the full NIRPC Board next week. Illinois has already approved the project, which has had its share of controversy since being proposed in 2010.
