Illiana Corridor Meeting Monday in Lowell

June 14, 2013 — Monday, June 17, marks the next public meeting about an interstate highway project from I-65 in south Lake County to I-55 west of Peotone, Illinois.

Indiana’s Department of Transportation says it will present updates to the plan based on public feedback at the last meeting. The meeting uses an open house format so people may attend any time from 5-8pm. A question and answer forum starts at 6pm at Lowell Middle School, 19250 Cline Avenue, Lowell, Indiana. A similar, subsequent public meeting occurs Tuesday at Peotone High School, 605 West North Street, Peotone, Illinois.

Indiana Department of Transportation and The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and say, “The purpose of this event is to present the latest draft design, which includes refinements to the preferred corridor, interchange types and locations, local road connectivity, overpass and underpass locations, environmental protection and planning opportunities. A brief Question & Answer session will take place after the presentation.”
