August 14, 2013 — Lake County’s Sheriff Department is looking for suspects in a summer holiday burglary.

Department Spokesperson Patti Van Til says the incident was an early morning July 4th burglary in unincorporated Dyer where the suspects entered several residences.

Van Til says they targetted a neighborhood near the intersection of West 101st Avenue and State Line Road.

Investigators says one suspect is described as a black male with a medium complexion and heavy build, with a goatee.

Two vehicles involved are believed to be an older model white Chrysler 300M and a later model silver Dodge Avenger with damage to the right front quarter. Van Til says witnesses also say a white minivan, unknown make and model, was involved.

She invites anyone with related information to contact Detective Jeremy Kalvaitis at 219-755-3355, or 219-755-3334.
