Holcomb Joining Coats Staff
June 22, 2013 — In the same week that he resigned his position at Indiana’s Republic Party Chairman, Eric Holcomb has a new job. Indiana’s senior United States Senator Dan Coats announced Holcomb will be his new state chief of staff.
Coats says Mike McMains is staying on staff as senior counsel, and Dean Hingson remains as Chief of Staff in Washington, D.C., while Holcomb oversees all operations in Indiana. “Eric Holcomb is a well-respected, results-oriented leader in Indiana, and I am honored to have him join my team. As a veteran, state party chairman and long-time aide to former Governor Mitch Daniels, Eric has the experience and leadership skills to oversee my Indiana operations and assist me in working on behalf of Hoosiers.”
Holcomb says, “The opportunity to serve as a part of Senator Coats’ team as he works to tackle the many challenges facing our nation on behalf of fellow Hoosiers is a great honor and natural next step.”
Holcomb joins Coats’ staff July 10, 2013.
