Heat out to clinch Eastern title
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Miami is one win shy of reaching the NBA Finals again. The Heat beat the Pacers Monday night 102-90 as LeBron James had 32 points and 10 rebounds. Chris Bosh, who didn’t provide much scoring in the first three games of the series, had 25 for Miami.
The Pacers won two elimination games in the first round against Atlanta, and need to win three more if their yearlong plan of topping Miami as kings of the East is going to become reality.
Should the Pacers win tonight’s home-court game, the sixth game of the series would be Friday back in Miami.
In the Western final the Thunder dumped the Spurs Tuesday night 105-92 as Russell Westbrook had 40 points and Kevin Durant 31. The series is now knotted up a two wins apiece with Game 5 set for Thursday night in San Antonio.
