Hammond, South Shore CVA Partner On Attendee Data Mining

Share Tweet Email

Hammond Mayor Tom McDermott, Jr. and South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority President and CEO Speros Batistatos say the two organizations will be working closely together to collect data on attendees of the 10th annual Festival of the Lakes.  That’s the five-day festival at Wolf Lake Memorial Park that begins July 17th and runs thru the 21st.

Batistatos says the information will allow the City of Hammond to make better decisions regarding allocation of sponsorships, advertising and how funds are spent on musical entertainment.

Mayor McDermott says they already know they’re reaching Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio, but he wants to know about those coming from Nebraska. Why did they come to Festival of the Lakes? And the mayor says the answer to that question can come from some of the information they hope to acquire.
