Hammond PD actively trying to find 15 year-old missing girl
Several Hammond Police officers are on the active watch trying to find a 15 year-old girl who has been missing since Sunday, February 8th. Hammond Police Department Leiutenant Richard Hoyda says work is slowly progressing. Hoyda says police appreciate any information anyone can provide on the case to help enable them to locate Taylor LeVan unharmed. The Lieutenant says so-far no foul play is suspected. Taylor is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds with a medium build and attends Munster High School. She was last seen at around 10 a.m. Saturday February 7th in the area of 1650 170th Street. She was reportedly wearing a friendship bracelet and gold chain necklace. According to the police report filed with the Hammond Police Department the child has a drug problem with Marijuana, Cocaine and Xanax.
