Hammond Hotel Completes Major Renovation Project
February 18, 2015 — Travelers to the South Shore will now be able to enjoy the comforts of home at the recently renovated Comfort Inn Hammond, which underwent a complete transformation that updated the hotel’s appearance and ambiance. The primary focus of the project was finalized on Feb. 6, 2015.
The hotel opened in 1979 as a Howard Johnson’s motel.
“Renovations were completed inside and out, from the roof down,” stated Lisa Gibson, general manager of the hotel. Gibson explained that renovations included new electrical work, redesigned guest rooms with new bathrooms and furniture, and more.
“The work modernized the hotel, giving it a more sleek appearance,” stated Gibson. In addition to the modern appearance to the hotel, guests will enjoy many new amenities.
“The renovations added closets to each guest room, as well as many other new features. Each room has a microfridge, coffeemaker, 42-inch flat screen television, charging station for electronics and more,” explained Gibson. “Additionally, guests can enjoy a complementary business center, an on-site laundry room and a beautiful fitness center.”
The breakfast room also underwent renovations, adding granite counter tops and tiles to the room. Guests of Comfort Inn Hammond will now be able to enjoy a full hot breakfast every morning.
“Our guests know what the Comfort Inn brand offers: the comforts and warmth of home provided by an experienced and professional staff. We look forward to being a part of the community and providing guests with an exceptional lodging option,” said Gibson.
Minor upgrades will continue and include renovating the indoor guest pool.
Comfort Inn Hammond is located at 7813 Indianapolis Blvd.
