Halloween Stabbing Deaths Bring Charges for Two Suspects
November 12, 2013 — Two men face murder charges today for the stabbing death of a Gary couple.
Mark Anthony Williams of Gary has been charged with murder, robbery and auto theft.
Williams told police that he and a friend were at the home of Leviticus and Toshiba Dupree on Halloween night and that after drinking whiskey together his friend attacked Leviticus with a knife, killing him and then killing his wife in a bedroom.
That friend, Anthony Wilson of Gary, has also been charged with murder.
Wilson admits to being present at the Dupree home the night of the murders. He told police that a dispute broke out, and he claims he left the home as Williams began stabbing the man and his wife.
Police say the two men fled in a vehicle belonging to Toshiba Dupree.
Both men are being held in Lake County Jail pending a formal court appearance.
