Hall of Famer died of heart attack
CHICAGO (AP) — An attorney representing the family of Chicago Cubs great Ernie Banks says the Hall of Famer died after suffering a heart attack. Mark Bogen spoke alongside Banks’ widow, Liz. He said Banks suffered a heart attack on Friday, the same day he died.
Banks spent his entire 19-year career with the Cubs. He hit 512 home runs and was twice named the National League’s Most Valuable Player.
