Habitat’s Different “Sweat Equity” Saturday

October 10, 2013 — Habitat for Humanity’s requirement of “sweat equity” gets a new meaning this Saturday.  That’s when Habitat’s Northwest Indiana organization hosts a 5K walk-or-run at the Lake County Fairgrounds.

The event supports Habitat’s efforts to build homes for people who need them and who supply “sweat equity.”

The run starts at 9 a.m. with on-site registration starting at 7:30 a.m.  Event registration costs $15-to-20 dollars, depending on T-shirt, with money from the event going toward Habitat homes in Lake County.

Though the run occurs within the fairgrounds, traffic could be busy in that area Saturday morning.
