Lakeshore Public Radio’s weekly “A Look At The Arts” interview program welcomed Grammy Award -winning songwriter JIM PETERIK into the Lakeshore Radio studios for a chat about Peterik’s critically acclaimed new autobiography, “Through The Eye of the Tiger.”
A co-founding member of the rock bands The Ides of March and Survivor, Peterik’s 336-page book is a fun, easy read, chock full of memories and stories about Jim’s encounters with fascinating folks like Janis Joplin, Johnny Rivers, Sylvester Stallone and Led Zeppelin.
It’s pages detail the Berwyn, Illinois native’s rise from being an aspiring high school musician to becoming a songwriter with more than 1,000 published compositions whose songs have sold in excess of 30 million copies worldwide, including: “Eye of the Tiger,” “Vehicle,” “Fantasy Girl,” “Hold On Loosely,” “The Search Is Over,” “Burning Heart,” “Heavy Metal,” and dozens of other hits.
