Gov. Pence Names Appointees to Multiple Boards and Commissions

June 9, 2014 – Indiana Governor Mike Pence recently announced appointments to a series of state boards and commissions, including several leaders from Northwest Indiana. The following is from a list of appointees provided by the Governor’s office. The complete list can be found on the state website, www.in.gov.

· Kids First Trust Fund Board of Directors:

Laura Smith-Wynn (Lake County), serves a two year term through July 1, 2016

· Integrated Public Safety Commission:

Sheriff Michael Grzegorek (St. Joseph County), serves at the pleasure of the Governor

· Elkhart Urban Enterprise Zone:

Senator Carlin Yoder (Elkhart County), serves a four-year term through April 1, 2018

David Behr (St. Joseph County), serves a four-year term through April 1, 2018

· Law Enforcement Training Board:

Kevin Roach (Lake County), serves a four-year term through April 30, 2018

Kenneth Witkowski (St. Joseph County), serves a four-year term through April 30, 2018

David Lasco (Lake County), serves a four-year term through April 30, 2018

· Commission on Aging:

Lauren Mullet (LaPorte County), serves a four-year term through July 1, 2018

Edward Gottschling (Porter County), serves a four-year term through July 1, 2018

· Minority and Women Business Enterprises:

David Olivencia (Lake County), serves a four-year term through May 31, 2018

Frances Vega-Steele (Porter County), serves a four-year term through May 31, 2018

·  Bond Bank Board of Directors:

Cynthia Walsh (Lake County), serves a three-year term through June 1, 2017

· Athletic Trainers Certification Board:

John Doherty (Lake County), serves a four-year term through April 30, 2018
