Gary Police Chief Offers Personal Touch To Help Crime Victims

November 7, 2013 — Just months after Wade Ingram became police chief in Gary in January 2012, he began an unusual initiative: visiting the family of each of the city’s homicide victims.  The Lakeshore’s Steve Walsh joined the Police Chief  for one of his recent victim family meetings, which have taken on an even more important role in how city officials address the growing violent crime issue.
