Gary Native Home to Premier Movie He Wrote, Directed

September 13, 2013 — Gary native and Roosevelt High School alumnus Charles Murray is premiering his new movie in the Region.

As the writer/director of  independent film Things Never Said, Murray visited Lakeshore News Tonight during the premier to discuss his professional writing work for several television series, including City of Angels, Third Watch, Day Break, Criminal Minds, and currently a member of the Sons of Anarchy writing team.

Fellow Gary native Steven LaBroi is a co-executive producer for the independent film, and a Roosevelt alumnus, too.

 

Things Never Said is an independent film produced by Raising Kane Films.  Murray and his fellow executive producers received high reviews this summer after featuring the movie in several film festivals across the country- Pan African Festival, Langston Hughes African-American Film Festival, Roxbury International Film Festival, Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival.

Things Never Said premiered Friday, September 13, 2013, and it runs through Friday September 2 at AMC Showplace Theater12, 2590 Southlake Mall, Merrillville, Indiana.
