Gary Mans Gets Jail, and Bill, For 8 Robberies
United States Attorney David Capp’s office says a 22-year-old Gary man has a ten-year prison sentence, and $21,440.80 to pay in restitution, for eight Lake County, Indiana robberies.
The U.S. Attorney’s office says Nathan Elmore pleaded “guilty” to robbing Rally’s, Family Dollar, Church’s Chicken, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Auto Zone in Gary, Indiana: Game Stop and Auto Zone in Hammond, Indiana: and the armed robbery of Tech Credit Union in East Chicago, Indiana.
Along with 121 months of federal prison, Capp says Elmore has three years of government supervision after his release from jail.
21-year-old co-defendant Seandell Rounds of Riverdale, Illinois received a court sentence of a 57-month federal jail term, $189 in restitution and 2 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to the felony offenses of the robberies of Subway in Gary and Auto Zone in Merrillville, Indiana.
Capps says the charges were as a result of a cooperative law enforcement effort by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the East Chicago Police Department, the Gary Police Department, the Hammond Police Department and the Merrillville Police Department.
