Freeze Warning Issued for Overnight Frost
October 21, 2013 — The U.S. National Weather Service Office in Indianapolis is warning Hoosiers about a frost advisory in effect overnight.
Its “urgent weather message” warns of freezing temperatures from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday. It says cold Canadian air will arrive tonight behind a strong cold front from the north, dropping temperatures to lower-mid 30s Fahrenheit.
It says it expects widespread frost overnight and tomorrow morning across central and northern Indiana.
As the temperature drops to freezing, it warns people to expects slick places on bridges and overpasses, and that outdoor plants could be killed by the cold air if not otherwise protected.
