FIGHTING IRISH TO PLAY THREE BASEBALL GAMES AT U.S. STEEL YARD
GARY, IN-The University of Notre Dame will play three Athletic Coast Conference baseball games at the U.S. Steel Yard during the month of March, Gary SouthShore RailCats general manager Pete Laven announced on Thursday.
The Fighting Irish (5-6) will host the first of the three afternoon games on the SouthShore on Saturday, March 22nd vs. Virginia Tech at 2:05 pm followed by another matinee vs. the Hokies (6-3) on Sunday, March 23rd at 12:05 pm.
Notre Dame takes on another ACC foe, Wake Forest (8-4), at the U.S. Steel Yard on Saturday, March 29th at 2:05 pm.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to play in a great venue in the U.S. Steel Yard,” said Notre Dame head baseball coach Mikio Aoki. “We are grateful to the RailCats and Salvi Sports for opening up their stadium to us and we’re looking forward to the games we will be playing there.”
