October 21, 2013 — One half of the nation’s first bi-racial comedy team says laughter was simply in his blood from the time he was a child.

Tom Dreesen has been entertaining crowds for fifty years ever since taking the stage with partner Tim Reid on the advice of a grade school child.  Reid went on to star in W-K-R-P in Cincinnati, while Dreesen went on to open for Frank Sinatra for over ten years and was a regular guest on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, The Late Show with David Letterman and more.

He continues to perform today and is currently promoting his new show, an evening of laughter and memories of Sinatra from a standup comedian.

Lakeshore news anchor Jodi Juhl sat down with Dreesen at Chicago’s iconic Pump Room to find out just what makes this standup comedian a true “standout” in the world of laughter.  Watch their conversation at 10pm this week on Lakeshore News Tonight, channel 56 or Comcast channel 17.
